Have You Got It Yet?, a documentary from UMG’s Mercury Studios subtitled "The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd," will receive a theatrical release in the U.K. beginning 5/15. North American screenings will follow in June via distributor Abramorama.
Barrett co-founded Pink Floyd in 1965. Directed by the late album-cover designer Storm Thorgerson, a childhood friend of Barrett's, and Roddy Bogawa, the film explores the relationship between the members of Pink Floyd and the band's original frontman and primary songwriter, who left before it achieved stardom.
Have You Got It Yet? features interviews with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Roger Waters, original band managers Peter Jenner and Andrew King and Pete Townshend and Blur’s Graham Coxon.
Said Mercury Studios CEO Alice Webb, “We’re driven by our passion for storytelling, and when we get to share the moments, emotions and characters behind music that's soundtracked the memories and milestones of fans around the world, we know we have something special. That’s what this whole project has been—special.”
The premiere of Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd will be held at Everyman King’s Cross in London on Thursday (4/27).
