METRO BOOMIN HITS IT OUT OF THE PARK

SALXCO-managed producer Metro Boomin has partnered with the MLB Network for opening day coverage. Beginning Thursday (3/30), the MLB content platform will air a nearly three-minute video of Boomin discussing his creative process, his passion for baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals. “On Time” and “Trance,” taken from his latest album, Heroes & Villains (Boominati/Republic), provide the soundtrack as he compares making new music to players preparing for the 162-game regular season.

“You can’t beat this time of year,” he says in the clip. “Everybody’s staring at 162—162 chances to make that beautiful music you can’t get anywhere else. It's time to play ball.”

Heroes & Villains debuted at #1 in December 2022 with more than 185k in first-week sales, Boomin's highest tally to date. The album has also generated roughly 2.5b streams and counting. We, on the other hand, can’t count past 50. Watch the "Eyes on 162" video below.
