OF OSCAR WE SING

Everything Everywhere All at Once may have dominated the Oscars, but let's talk about the music.

The Indian throwdown "Naatu Naatu" from the mind-blowing historical action epic RRR took Best Song. The performance of the winner (composed by M.M. Keeravani with lyrics by Chandrabose) brought the house down thanks to some truly frenetic dancing.

Westbury Road/Roc Nation/Def Jam's Rihanna, dripping with bling, lit up the ceremony with "Lift Me Up" from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (which she penned with Tems, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson).

Interscope's Lady Gaga, whose visual presentation over the years has consistently pushed the fashion envelope, eschewed glamour with her T-shirt, ripped jeans and no makeup as she blazed through "Hold My Hand" (which she co-wrote with Bloodpop) from Top Gun: Maverick.

Diane Warren accompanied singer Sofia Carson on "Applause" from Tell It Like a Woman. Co-writer David Byrne assisted Everything Everywhere All at Once star Stephanie Hsu on the suitably odd "This Is a Life."

All Quiet on the Western Front, which scooped up multiple trophies over the course of the evening, took Best Score (composed by Volker Bertelmann).

Lenny Kravitz performed "Calling All Angels" during the In Memoriam segment.

What about the big Oscar wins? As you may have heard, Everything Everywhere won for Best Picture, Best Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis), Director(s), Original Screenplay, Editing and more. Brendan Fraser took Best Actor for The Whale. Sarah Polley won the Adapted Screenplay award for Women Talking.
