U.K. MIDWEEKS: P!NK FALLS INTO #1

P!nk is on course to claim her fourth U.K. Official Albums #1 on Friday with TRUSTFALL (RCA). Over on singles, PinkPantheress is challenging the long reign of Miley Cyrus.

At the halfway point, TRUSTFALL is outselling its closest competition, Cuts & Bruises (Polydor) by Irish rock band Inhaler, by nearly two to one.

Among new arrivals, Welsh rock band Those Damn Crows are on track for a first U.K. Top 10 album with Inhale/Exhale (Earache), starting at #3 today. Electronic duo Orbital’s Optical Delusion (London Music Stream) is #4.

Outside the Top 10, Newcastle hard rock outfit Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs are on course for their first Top 40 album as Land of Sleeper (Rocket Recordings) drops in at #19.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Cyrus’ “Flowers” (RCA) remains at #1 but PinkPantheress’ “Boy’s a liar” (Parlophone) has jumped to #2.

Miguel’s “Sure Thing” (Jive) also continues to rise, to its previous peak of #4. Rema eyes his highest chart peak with “Calm Down” (Jonzing Worldwide/Mavin) at #5. Tiësto and Tate McRae’s “10:35” (Atlantic/Ministry of Sound), at #7, might also reach new heights, while Coi Leray homes in on her first-ever U.K. Top 10 entry with “Players” (Uptown/Republic), at #9. Niall Horan’s “Heaven” (Capitol) is expected to debut at #10 as this week's highest new entry.
