Snoop Dogg will be the third rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, leading a 2023 class that also includes Sade, Jeff Lynne and Glen Ballard.
Gloria Estefan, Teddy Riley and Liz Rose will also be inducted at a gala 6/15 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York. Snoop’s induction follows those of Missy Elliott and JAY-Z.
SHOF Chair Nile Rodgers said that the 2023 class "represents not just iconic songs but also diversity and unity across genre, ethnicity and gender, songwriters who've enriched our lives and, in their time, literally transformed music and the lives of billions of listeners all over the world."
