REESE AND KACEY SEARCH FOR THEIR KIND OF COUNTRY AT APPLE TV+

Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves are partnering to produce a music-competition series, My Kind of Country, on Apple TV+.

The series—executive produced by Witherspoon, Musgraves, Hello Sunshine’s Sara Rea and Lauren Neustadter, Sandbox Entertainment’s Jason Owen, The Masked Singer showrunner Izzie Pick Ibarra and Katy Mullan—launches on 3/24 with Jimmie Allen, Orville Peck and Mickey Guyton serving as scouts/judges. Witherspoon and Musgraves will appear throughout the series as well.

Grammy nominee Adam Blackstone will serve as the show's music director.

The series hopes to break down barriers in country music, with judges hand-picking diverse, innovative candidates to showcase in Nashville. The winner will receive a "life-changing" prize from Apple Music, as well as robust exposure on Apple's platforms and sporadic access to the Genius Bar if their iPhone goes on the fritz.
