JAZZ FEST LANDS SHEERAN, LUMINEERS, DEAD & CO.

Dead & Company, Ed Sheeran and The Lumineers are among the headliners for 2023's New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, 4/28-30 and 5/4-7.

The seven-day event, which features virtually every style of American music, will welcome more than 5,000 musicians to 14 stages at the city's Fair Grounds Race Course.

The Jazz Fest appearance by Dead & Co. will precede their final go-round, beginning 5/19 in L.A. It will also give Sheeran a head start for the stadium tour he'll inaugurate 5/6 in Arlington, Texas. The Lumineers now have three festivals booked in May.

Other artists on the bill include Lizzo, Mumford & Sons, Jill Scott and Kane Brown. Louisiana acts span Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, The Revivalists, Big Freedia, Irma Thomas, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Cyril Neville, Terence Blanchard featuring The E-Collective & Turtle Island Quartet, the Rebirth Brass Band, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Ivan Neville’s Dumstaphunk, Zigaboo Modeliste & The Funk Revue, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Leo Nocentelli, Galactic and Kermit Ruffins & the Barbecue Swingers.
