TAG, THEY'RE IT! SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Netflix’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery shot into the streamer’s Top 10 most-viewed titles soon after its release on Christmas. Apparently, Shazam-using viewers in the U.S. and U.K. just had to know who was singing the murder mystery’s key songs.

Um, those would be some of the biggest bands in pop and rock history: The Bee Gees, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

The Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody” (Capitol), a Top 20 hit from 1967 that was the second single from the Gibb brothers' debut LP, and The Beatles’ self-referential “Glass Onion” (Apple) from 1968’s so-called White Album are among the Biggest Movers on both sides of the Atlantic, while the film’s final song, The Stones’ “Sweet Virginia,” also generated interest in the U.K.

Streaming services were responsible for this week’s other Biggest Movers in the U.S.: Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” (Interscope) is her hit from Top Gun: Maverick, and Alicia Myers’ "I Want to Thank You," a 1981 release on MCA, was used in Peacock’s The Best Man: The Final Chapters.

The lone new title to get thumbs waggin’ was Nengo Flow & Bad Bunny’s “Gato de Noche” (Rimas).
