Taylor Swift’s “Carolina,” Lady Gaga’s song from Top Gun: Maverick and Rihanna’s ballad from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever are among the nominees for the Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
Gaga is nominated along with co-writer BloodPop for “Hold My Hand,” Rihanna and her team of Tems, Ludwig Göransson and Ryan Coogler are in for “Lift Me Up” and Swift is the sole nominee for her contribution to Where the Crawdads Sing.
The other nominees in the category are Roeben Katz and Guillermo del Toro’s “Ciao Papa” from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio and Kala Bhairava, M. M. Keeravani and Rahul Sipligunj’s “Naatu Naatu” from RRR.
Gaga won the Globe for Best Original Song in 2018 for A Star Is Born’s "Shallow"; Swift was nominated in 2021 for “Safe and Sound” from The Hunger Games but lost to Adele’s “Skyfall.” The others are first-time music nominees.
Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin leads the nominations with eight. The full list is here. The awards will be handed out 1/10.
