DEPECHE MODE UNVEILS SUMMER PLANS

Depeche Mode will release its 15th studio album, Memento Mori (Columbia), next spring and spend March through August on its first tour in five years. The trek begins with an arena run in North America.

The 10 North American dates on the Live Nation-presented tour include 3/28 at L.A.’s Kia Forum and the finale, 4/14 at Madison Square Garden. The stadium/festival tour of Europe starts 5/16 in Amsterdam and wraps 8/11 in Oslo.

Martin Gore said of Memento Mori, “We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time. After Fletch’s passing, we decided to continue as we’re sure this is what he would have wanted, and that has really given the project an extra level of meaning.”
