RAP RADAR PODCAST CLICKS WITH WMG

Warner Music Group's new in-house podcast network, Interval Presents, has added Rap Radar to its expanding portfolio. Hosted by hip-hop journalists Elliott Wilson and Brian "B.Dot" Miller, the show will feature interviews with such artists as JAY-Z, Drake, J. Cole and A$AP Rocky.

The move is further indication of the majors' push to ensure that their music content is well represented amid the podcast boom (and that they get a slice of that tasty marketshare).

“Partnering with Rap Radar was a natural fit for Interval Presents," said the latter's GM, Allan Coye. "The show embodies our mission to uplift diverse voices through content that touches on music, pop culture and social impact. Elliott & B.Dot are titans in the hip-hop community who have brought us some of the most captivating and honest interviews with the biggest artists in the genre. We’re excited to help the show reach new heights.”

Wilson, who crowned Future "the best rapper alive" in a GQ cover story in April, is equally thrilled about the, um, future. "We’re excited to work with the Interval Presents team and to continue to have dialogue and conversation that speak to the minds of the ever-growing hip-hop community,” reads a quote attributed to him. “Interval Presents stands for values rooted in authenticity and music artistry, making the network the perfect home for our podcast.”

The new season of Rap Radar will drop on 8/18.
