KINGSHIP TAKES PLASTIC (UPDATE)

UPDATE: UMG's KINGSHIP has sold out its entire NFT collection of 5,000 access-enabled key cards. The cards became available to mint on Thursday (7/14) and were gone two hours after the final wave was released on Friday (7/15). The collection ranked #1 on the OpenSea marketplace’s music chart and was the #1 trending NFT array in all categories on release day.

POSTED 7/13:

KINGSHIP, UMG’s first-of-its-kind Bored Ape Yacht Club supergroup, has released its debut collection of 5,000 NFTs, which will allow holders to access the group’s virtual world and unlock music, products, experiences and a token-gated community.

Thanks to a new partnership between the group's label, 10:22PM, with NFT Devz and leading Web3 infrastructure company MoonPay, fans can pay with credit cards through a simple checkout process that requires no Web3 experience.

KINGSHIP is the brainchild of 10:22PM founder Celine Joshua. The Bored Ape group’s origin story and additional key card details are available on its website, Discord and Twitter.

Bored Ape Yacht Club, known as BAYC, is among the most successful NFT collections to launch since anyone figured out what an NFT is. Initially released as a set of 10,000 computer-generated cartoon ape avatars in April of 2021, it was followed by a second set of Mutant Apes, selling out in less than an hour and generating more than $90 million in sales.

“We’re focused on creating a dynamic experience within KINGSHIP’s immersive world that takes the fan experience to another level,” said Joshua. “And now anyone with a credit card will be able to participate and go on this journey with KINGSHIP.”
