J-Hope will officially kick off the BTS solo era with his debut album, Jack in the Box, due 7/15 via Big Hit/Geffen. Lead single "More" arrives Friday. He is slated to headline Lollapalooza's main stage this summer, becoming the first Korean solo act to do so.
J-Hope released a mixtape, Hope World, in 2018 and a solo single, "Chicken Noodle Soup" w/Becky G, in 2019.
BTS dropped its anthology album, Proof, two weeks ago. It debuted at #1 on the HITS Top 50. Group members spoke of a possible "hiatus" during the album's release week, with Proof being the end of one chapter and J-Hope's solo album the beginning of the next in the iconic K-pop act's story.
