U.K. CHARTS: STYLES SNEAKS PAST DRAKE

Harry Styles returns to #1 this week on the Official Albums Chart, besting Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind (OVO/Republic) by a mere 350 in chart sales. At singles, Kate Bush remains #1 for a second week in a row, while Drake lands three songs in the Top 10.

Styles’ Harry’s House (Columbia) returns to the top for a third non-consecutive week, making it the longest-running #1 album of 2022. Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind, his seventh studio album, debuts at #2 and is the week’s most-streamed collection.

Life Is Yours (Warner) from Oxfordshire rock band Foals enters at #3. It's the week’s biggest seller on physical formats—#1 on the Official Vinyl Chart and the Official Record Store Chart.

The SmileThom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood’s trio with Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner—breaks into the Top 5 for the first time as A Light for Attracting Attention (XL) posts impressive physical sales. Jesse Buckley and Bernard Butler’s debut, For All Our Days That Tear the Heart (EMI), opens at #23, and the second album from Nova Twins, Supernova (Marshall), zips in at #27.

It’s a good week for catalog titles: A 50th anniversary edition of David Bowie’s The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars (Parlophone) enters at #12, Kate Bush’s The Whole Story is up to #17 and Queen’s The Platinum Collection (EMI) is #21 thanks to its first vinyl release, on six colored discs.

At singles, Bush’sRunning Up That Hill” (Fish People) celebrates a second week at #1, on 79k in chart sales, which includes 8.7m streams.

Two songs hit new heights in this week's Top 5: LF System’s “Afraid to Feel” (Warner) is up one place to #3, and George Ezra’s “Green Green Grass” (Columbia) settles in at #5. 

Drake’s three Top 10 debuts are Jimmy Cooks” f/21 Savage at #7, “Massive” at #8 and “Falling Back” at #10.

Outside the Top 10, Joji scores his first U.K. Top 20 hit with “Glimpse of Us” (12 Tone), and Beyoncé’s  Break My Soul” (Columbia) lands at #21, giving her 36 U.K. Top 40 hits.
