POLYDOR PROMOTES FOUR
6/17/22

Wondering when the Champagne will arrive to celebrate their promotions at Polydor are, from left, Jodie Cammidge, Stephen Hallowes, Semera Khan and Luke Ferrar.

Polydor Records President Ben Mortimer has promoted four execs at the label, naming Jodie Cammidge and Stephen Hallowes as co-Managing Directors and adding two senior director roles.

Semera Khan has been named Senior Director of Creative and Luke Ferrar is upped to Senior Innovation Director.

Hallowes, the former Director of Marketing, joined Polydor from Beggars/XL in 2009 and rose to Co-Director of Digital. Cammidge, formerly Promotions Director, spent a decade at Mercury (later Virgin EMI) as Director of Radio before heading to Polydor. Cammidge and Hallowes worked together in the early 2000s at V2 Records.

“These promotions reflect Polydor’s vision of what a modern record company should be, with music, creativity and innovation at the heart of the label,” Mortimer said. “Stephen exemplifies a modern executive, as kind and thoughtful as he is driven and intelligent. Jodie is well loved by artists, managers and the wider industry with deep relationships not just in promotions but across the industry both here and abroad.

“Together they complement each other brilliantly, and alongside Semera and Luke—who as anybody will tell you are stars—they have played massive roles in Polydor’s huge success over the last few years. It feels great to be able to recognize that.”

Khan has spent a decade at Polydor forging creative campaigns for Lana Del Rey, The 1975, James Blake and others. Ferrar joined Polydor in 2016 as Head of Digital and was promoted to Innovation Director where his projects have included the BRIT Awards campaign.
