POLLACK GETS THE CALL, NAMED MOC CHAIR

iHeartMedia EVP Alissa Pollack has been appointed Chair of Musicians on Call's National Board of Directors. Outgoing Chair Mitch Glazier, CEO of the RIAA, moves into the role of Chair Emeritus.

For more than 20 years, Musicians on Call (MOC), the nation’s leading provider of live music in hospitals, has used music to promote the healing process. MOC volunteers have performed for one million people in health-care facilities nationwide.

Said MOC President/CEO Pete Griffin, “We could not be more excited for the future of MOC under the direction of this unparalleled group of leaders. Alissa has been an incredible force for our mission, introducing countless artists and community supporters to our programs over the years. She is the perfect person to take the reins following Mitch’s great work as Chair.”

Pollack was instrumental in bringing MOC’s live-music programs to City of Hope in Los Angeles and Staten Island University Hospital in New York through the Jason Pollack Bedside Performance Program, which honors her late father. Pollack has served on MOC’s National Board of Directors since 2010. Glazier has been a member since 2011.

In other board news, philanthropist Michelle Frohlich-Klinger becomes Secretary and Baker Sullivan Hoover PLC Managing Partner Cathy Sullivan has been named Treasurer. Mack Real Estate Group Co-Founder Stephen Mack and 25-year music veteran Rome Thomas have been re-elected. The newest member is SCS Innovations, LLC, President Sara Star. The MOC is also recognizing the dedication of late board member Kevin O’Toole.
