NOISEMAKERS REVISITED:
THE 2018 EDITION

The industry folk showcased here first appeared in our publication as eager young strivers—they’ve since acquired a bit more seasoning and, in many cases, have moved up to positions of greater responsibility. But they still don’t have enough juice to get out of dealing with us.

Amanda Samii
SVP, A&R, Capitol

Instrumental to signing FINNEAS, Marshmello, Syd and Rogét Chahayed (up for a 2022 Producer of the Year Grammy) and other artist/writer/producers during her years at Kobalt, Samii joined Capitol in 2020. Presently looking after Calum Scott, Jon Bellion and up-and-comer Emeline, to name a few, she notably brought The Tower’s Niall Horan onto Ashe’s “Moral of the Story,” which the pair performed to great fanfare at the Royal Albert Hall in 2020. Samii graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Business/Management. Why didn’t we think of that?

Jaime Zeluck Hindlin
Founder, Nonstop Management

Hindlin founded Nonstop in 2018 and has since guided the careers of writer/producers like Michael Pollack, Jake Torrey, Tia Scola, Nick Long and JKash. The company’s clients have generated Grammy-winning, multiplatinum hits for no less than Justin Bieber, Machine Gun Kelly, Tate McRae, Jawsh 685 x Jason Derulo and Maroon 5. In 2021 Hindlin helped establish the American Heart Association’s Support Network Maternal Health Forum, having survived heart failure during the birth of her daughter. Nonstop boasts an all-female executive staff. We wish HITS did, too.

Audrey A. Benoualid
Attorney, Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg Mobasser Younger & Light LLP

After Benoualid appeared in Noisemakers, she became a partner in her firm (2020), brought in Peach Tree Rascals (among others), helped close catalog sales for Red Hot Chili Peppers and Justin Tranter, cleared Justin Bieber’s Changes and Justice, negotiated agreements for the Justice tour, secured brand pacts for the Biebs (Balenciaga, Vespa) and Jennifer Lopez (Coach) and handled Ariana Grande’s deal for her role in Don’t Look Up. The UCLA Law grad is not only a member of the California Bar but the Barreau du Québec. We hear she makes a mean poutine.

Sara Bollwinkel
SVP, Wasserman Music

Bollwinkel still books tours for Billie Eilish (whom she co-signed when Eilish was 14) and has added FINNEAS, Joji, ATEEZ, Maude Latour, Dora Jar and Bruno Major to her roster. Asked what she sees in her crystal ball, she says, “For the love of all that is holy, keep an eye out for Sarah Cothran [Republic],” who independently built an audience of 4m+ on social media. Reflecting last year on the pandemic, Bollwinkel told Pollstar that she now has “a sense of clarity and strong motivation to win for my clients in a much bigger way.” We can’t win for losing.

Lindsay Schapiro
Vice President, Head of Digital, Mom + Pop Music

Schapiro joined Mom + Pop in 2016 as a digital marketing/streaming manager; she’s now VP/Head of Digital. She recently leveraged Ashe’s “Moral of the Story” (platinum-certified) and “Till Forever Falls Apart” (a collaboration with FINNEAS) to help the singer amass 1.5b streams and 5m followers. Schapiro has also overseen digital campaigns for Porter Robinson’s nurture (which topped dance charts), Tycho’s Grammy-nominated Weather and Flume’s Grammy-winning Skin. Schapiro was once a staff writer for an online music publication. We wonder what that’s like.

Karli Henriquez
Senior Manager, Artist Partnerships, SoundCloud

In the years since Henriquez’ Noisemakers debut, she’s gone from Director of Influencer Marketing at I.AM+ to launching her multicultural marketing agency, Know Alias. Now at SoundCloud, she’s all about educating its creator community to achieve maximum impact on the platform. She’s particularly excited about diversifying artist storytelling thereon and the arrival of 2022's accelerator program First on SoundCloud. Speaking of accelerator programs, Henriquez is a new aunt. She’ll surely cry “Uncle!” when she sees this.

Carrie Murphy
Agent, WME Nashville

Since 2018 Murphy’s seen client Gabby Barrett shatter Country radio records and top the charts with her debut single, “I Hope,” win the ACM for New Female Artist and earn her second #1, “The Good Ones.” She’ll soon hit the road with Jason Aldean. Newer to Murphy’s roster are Lily Rose (who’ll tour with Sam Hunt this year), Ashley Cooke (out with Cole Swindell) and Shy Carter (co-writer of Kane Brown’s “Heaven” and “Good As You”). Murphy is a supporter of the industry nonprofit She Is the Music. Appearing here again, she must feel like she’s facing the music.

Jodie Shihadeh
Owner, Shihadeh Law P.C.

Shihadeh Law represents dancehall singer Shenseea (“Lick” f/Megan Thee Stallion) and Roy Lenzo (co-producer of Lil Nas X’s “Rodeo” f/Cardi B), both nominated for 2022 Grammys, and Grammy-winning producer/songwriters like J White Did It (B’s #1s “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It”) and El Guincho (Rosalía’s Latin pop #1 El Mal Querer). The boutique operation also reps such companies as YMU, F Entertainment Group and CreateSafe. Having launched her firm in 2020 and her firstborn in 2021, Shihadeh is well versed in multitasking. What task were we working on again?
