U.K. MIDWEEKS: REX RUNS FOR #1

Rex Orange County is on course to claim his first U.K. Official Albums #1 with Who Cares? (Columbia), while Dave looks set to score a second week at the top of the singles chart.

Who Cares? is Rex Orange County’s fourth album. It could beat the #5 peak his previous release, Pony, reached in 2019. The set leads an all-new Top 5 on today’s midweek chart.

IMPERA (Loma Vista), from Swedish heavy-metal group Ghost, sits at #2, followed by Bryan AdamsSo Happy It Hurts (BMG) at #3.

Franz Ferdinand’s greatest-hits collection, Hits to the Head (Domino), starts at #4, followed by The Shires 10 Year Plan (BMG) at #5.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Liverpool's The Mysterines reside at #6 with Reeling (Universal), while Ella Henderson’s Everything I Didn’t Say (Asylum) is spoiling for a #7 debut.

British/Australian singer Thomas Headon’s Victoria EP (Such a Good Company) is on course for a #9 entry, followed by Lil Durk’s 7220 (Alamo) at #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Dave remains at #1 with last week’s chart-topper, “Starlight” (NBR).

Aitch looks set to claim this week’s highest new entry with #2 “Baby” (Capitol), which samples Ashanti’s ’00s hit “Rock Wit U.”

Jax Jones and MNEK’s “Where Did You Go” (Polydor) is on the rise again, jumping three places to #7. A1 x J1 could claim their third U.K. Top 10 with “Night Away (Dance)” f/Tion Wayne (EMI), up one to #10, while Cat Burns’ “Go” (RCA) rises eight to #11.
