Primary Wave head honcho Larry Mestel has been appointed to the National Music Publishers’ Association’s (NMPA) Board of Directors.
Mestel joins the leadership team of NMPA Board Chairman Irwin Robinson and President & CEO David Israelite, in the continuing fight for songwriters and creators to be properly compensated for their work.
Primary Wave has been on catalog acquisition spree since December, announcing major deals with the James Brown estate, Sun Records, Paul Rodgers of Bad Company, Def Leppard, America and Alice In Chains members’ Mike Starr and Layne Staley.
