AND JUST LIKE THAT, RUNDGREN HIT IS REVIVED

The premiere of HBO’s Sex and The City reboot proves that landing a classic song on a TV show can still result in a sales burst.

Todd Rundgren’s 1972 version of “Hello, It’s Me” popped into the iTunes Top 20 Thursday night after the first episode of And Just Like That debuted on HBO Max. Carrie and Big spin Rundgren’s Something/Anything on their living-room turntable while waxing poetic about the recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

We hear the interest in Rundgren’s music is not just a one-episode fling.
