Popp Hunna’s “Adderall (Corvette Corvette)” was the top song on TikTok in the U.S. in 2021, while the world as a whole was big on Masked Wolf and Måneskin.
TikTok has shared its Year on TikTok 2021-of-a-Kind, which includes For You Faves, playlists, breakthrough stars and voices of change.
"For us, 2021 was a year for connection, and we’ve seen people on TikTok laughing together, entertaining us, starting cultural phenomena and teaching us new things,” said TikTok COO Vanessa Pappas. “It's been incredible to see the depth of creativity from this community, and we're delighted to celebrate all the ways we've come together this year on TikTok."
Hunna's "Adderall" and LPB Poody's "Batman" (Chameleon/Interscope) placed one and two by leading dance trends and challenges; Doja Cat’s "Kiss Me More" (Kemosabe/RCA) was an inspiration for multiple trends.
