YM&U has added Henley Halem and Alex Frankel as Executive Managers, along with Chris Maher as Manager. Manager Conrad Brambila—who handles Naked & The Famous, Nvdes, XYLO and day-to-day for Blink-182/Travis Barker—is relocating to Music City, establishing a Nashville presence for the company.
Prior to joining YM&U, Halem held positions at Capitol, Ultra and TMWRK Management. During his 20+ years in the biz, he's represented such clients as Kid Cudi, Jurassic 5, The Beatnuts and Emile Haynie. His current roster includes DJs 4B and Valentino Khan, multiplatinum producers Blueysport and Wilder Zoby and multiplatinum rapper Yung Gravy.
Frankel began his music-industry odyssey as an artist—he was signed to Capitol at just 16. He was also part of DFA's Holy Ghost. On the industry side, he's had jobs at K7 Records and DEF Management (Moby) and has done music supervision for Steve Aoki. In 2019 he started his own management company, built around Nick Murphy/Chet Faker. NYC-based Frankel also owns a Jewish deli with his brother. No, really.
Maher joined Frankel in 2019 after spending a decade recording and performing worldwide.
Did someone say deli? We'll have the pastrami Reuben, a plate of old dills and a Dr. Brown's cream soda, please.
