SPINLAB REFINES
ITS SPIN

Publicists Jill Mango and Ally Norton have joined John Vlautin’s SpinLab Communications as VP and Director of Communications, respectively.

Mango will head up SpinLab’s New York office while Norton is based at the company’s L.A. HQ.

“Jill brings with her vast experience in venue and artist publicity as well as in the corporate communications arena and Ally has an incredible track record helping companies build their profiles in ways that boost their bottom lines,” Vlautin said. “SpinLab now has a deep bench of executive talent on both coasts working with our incredible clients to build and implement communications strategies that yield meaningful growth for their businesses. More importantly, this allows me to spend more time at Santa Anita playing the ponies."

Mango has held PR and marketing positions at major and independent record labels, including I.R.S., Mammoth, RCA, Island and Wind-Up. She also headed the New Media department at Girlie Action Media during the early days of the digital revolution. Most recently, she was the marketing director for The Ridgefield Playhouse, a nonprofit performing arts center in Ridgefield, Conn.

Norton comes to SpinLab from Shore Fire Media, where she worked for six years, moving from New York to Los Angeles in 2018 to open Shore Fire’s local branch. She has led campaigns for Rosanne Cash, Melissa Etheridge, Richard Marx, Pussy Riot, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Grizzly Bear, REZ and The Voidz, among others.
