Trinidad Cardona's 2017 song "Dinero" (Island) is enjoying a global resurgence on multiple platforms thanks to a viral TikTok campaign.
The track is the fifth-most-popular video on TikTok this week, with more than 50m views. The viral clip has powered a huge streaming boost, including Top 20 positions in Romania, Switzerland and Austria on both Spotify and Apple Music. It's now Top 50 on Spotify's Global chart and Top 5 global Shazam. And there's plenty of room for growth as the song has yet to be featured on any major DSP playlists.
"Dinero" was produced by Grammy and Oscar winner Dernst Emile (D'Mile), who worked with H.E.R. on "I Can't Breathe" and "Fight for You" and Silk Sonic's debut, "Leave the Door Open."
