BALLPARK FIGURES: HELLA MEGA SELLS OUT WRIGLEY, FENWAY, MORE

While the Cubs are away from the Friendly Confines and producing one of the craziest plays in baseball, fans of Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy are buying into Hella Mega like it was the World Series.

Wrigley Field is the first ballpark on the itinerary to post the Sold Out sign, joining Fenway in Boston and Hersheypark in Pennsylvania. Does the good news have the Crush-managed bands already salivating over a red hot being dragged through the garden*? In any event, it seems rock can still really knock it out of the park.

* A hot dog topped with yellow mustard, white onions, sweet pickle relish, dill pickle, tomatoes, sport peppers and a dash of celery salt.
