In just the last two weeks, a number of tentpole festivals have announced their dates and confirmed their lineups. Lollapalooza will take place in Chicago 7/29-8/1; Summerfest in Milwaukee 9/2-4, 9/9-11 and 9/16-18; Pitchfork in Chicago 9/9-12; Riot Fest in Chicago 9/16-19; BottleRock in Napa Valley 9/21-23; Louder Than Life in Louisville 9/23-26; Firefly in Dover, Del., 9/23-26; Governor’s Ball in NYC 9/24-26; Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas 10/22-24; and Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston Nov. 5-6. Austin City Limits Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary at full capacity with a lineup that includes George Strait, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks and Miley Cyrus 10/1-3 and 10/8-10. More will certainly roll out in the coming days.
Shed tours are abundant as things begin to open up. Familiar names pepper the billboards at these outdoor venues across the country as Rise Against, Rod Stewart/Cheap Trick, Brooks & Dunn, Daryl Hall & John Oates with Squeeze/KT Tunstall, Megadeth/Lamb of God with Trivium/In Flames, Maroon 5, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, The Black Crowes, Zac Brown Band, James Taylor, Alanis Morissette and KISS get ready to hit the road again.
