U.K. MIDWEEKS: GRAMMAR POLICE #1

London Grammar is heading for #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Californian Soil (Ministry of Sound). Over on singles, Lil Nas X's “MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name)” (RCA) could claim a fourth week at the top.

At the halfway point, Californian Soil is outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined and has the most sales in physical product and downloads. The most-streamed album of the week so far is AJ Tracey’s Flu Game (Revenge Records), currently at #2.

The Offspring’s first new album in nine years, Let The Bad Times Roll (Concord), could become their highest charting release ever in the U.K. at #3.

Imelda May’s 11 Past The Hour (Decca) is also new at #4 and Greta Van Fleet round out an all-new Top 5 with The Battle at Garden’s Gate (Republic).

A box set reissue of Jethro Tull’s 1980 album, A (Rhino), could send it into the Top 10 for the first time at #8, while YSL Records compilation album Slime Language 2 starts at #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Lil Nas X is ahead of his closest competition by 2.5k sales and claims the most-streamed song of the week so far.

On course for a 10th week inside the Top 10 is “Friday” (Ministry of Sound) by Riton x Nightcrawlers f/Mufasa & Hypeman, up four places to #2 and the most downloaded song of the weekend.

Tom Grennan’s “Little Bit of Love” (Relentless) is up two places to #6, while Ella Henderson collaboration “Let’s Go Home Together” (Atlantic) may crack the Top 10 for the first time at #9.

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Deja Vu” (Polydor) is on track to be this week’s highest climber, up 14 places to #12.
