FOREVER YOUNGBERG

The Davis Firm has anointed Kim Youngberg as Partner.

Youngberg, whom the practice's founder and chief, Doug Davis, calls "the best lawyer I have ever practiced with," began her career in entertainment as the first associate at Davis Shapiro. She subsequently served as SVP Biz & Legal at Windup Entertainment, where she became adept at throwing goat, and General Counsel for cinema-advertising giant Screenvision Media. She now comes full circle as a Partner and will also serve as Chief Legal Officer for affiliated music company DJDTP, overseeing rights management and related issues. It would all feel like a dream come true... if only she didn't have to deal with us.

"Just when I thought I was out," Youngberg says, "Doug pulled me back in."

For his part, Davis hailed Youngberg's "incredible foundation of music industry experience. Simply put, she is the perfect match for our firm at this time." But, he added, "there are only a few moments in one’s professional life where you can enjoy a homecoming. Kim’s arrival at the firm is one of those moments for me and I am thrilled to welcome her. I know that the Davis Firm will soar to new heights with her addition."

Inspired by Kim's name, a HITS editor changed his moniker to Bernard Oldenstein.
