U.K. MIDWEEKS: MAKE ROOM FOR MOGWAI

Mogwai is leading a tight race for this week’s Official Albums #1, with just 1,300 in sales separating the Top 3. Over on singles, Ella Henderson and Tom Grennan look ready to become the highest new entry.

Mogwai’s As the Love Continues (Rock Action) is currently #1 on albums, while Foo Fighters sit close behind with previous chart-topper Medicine at Midnight (Columbia). British rapper Ghetts is new at #3 with Conflict of Interest (Warner Records).

Ariana Grande’s Positions (Island) appears set to return to the Top 5 following the release of its deluxe edition, now at #5. It's the most-streamed record of the week so far.

Whitesnake compilation The Blues Album (Rhino) sits at #9 today, and Yorkshire band The Reytons are at #10 with the EP May Seriously Harm You and Others Around You (Scruff of the Neck).

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Henderson and Grennan start at #17 with “Let’s Go Home Together” (Major Toms/Asylum), the most-downloaded track of the week so far.

Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license” (Polydor) looks like it will stay at #1 for a seventh week, while a number of new tracks could hit new heights, including Tiesto’s “The Business” (Atlantic) at #4, Riton x Nightcrawlers f/Mufasa & Hypeman’s “Friday” (Ministry of Sound) at #5 and ATB, Topic & A7S’ “Your Love” (EMI) at #14.
