U.K. MIDWEEKS: MUSE CRUISES
2/1/21

The debut from Polydor rising star Celeste is on course to hit #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. Over on singles, London rapper Fredo looks set to claim this week’s highest new entry.

At the halfway point, Celeste’s Not Your Muse has a lead of 8,000 chart sales ahead of today’s #2—The Future Bites (Caroline) from art-rocker Steven Wilson.

There’s another buzzy new name in today’s Top 5, Arlo Parks, whose debut, Collapsed in Sunbeams (Transgressive), sits at #3. The most-streamed album of the week so far is Fredo’s second effort, Money Can’t Buy Happiness (Since 93), at #4.

Tottenham rapper Chip is on track for his first solo Top 10 album in almost 10 years with his mixtape, Snakes & Ladders (Cash Motto), at #6, and post-punk group Goat Girl are in pursuit of their first Top 10 album as On All Four (Rough Trade) is #7.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Fredo f/Dave’s “Money Talks” starts at #2.
