NAOMI ASHER JOINS SONY/ATV
12/7/20

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has named Naomi Asher as VP, Neighbouring Rights, U.K. & International.

Based in the pubco's London office, she reports directly to President and Co-Managing Director David Ventura and Co-Managing Director Tim Major.

In her new role, Asher will manage the Neighbouring Rights division and oversee its growth. She will also maintain relationships with clients across the U.K. and internationally while creating strategic initiatives to ensure performers receive fair pay.

“We are so pleased that Naomi has chosen to join us at what feels like a pivotal time for our business. She has a wealth of experience in the Neighbouring Rights space and will help us to expand our business in this area on a global scale and nurture and develop our dynamic and enthusiastic team,” shared Major and Ventura.

Asher added, “It’s an exciting time to be part for this community and there is so much Sony/ATV can bring to this area of business.”

Prior to joining Sony/ATV, Asher served as Director and President at Wixen Music U.K. Ltd., where she worked to expand its Neighbouring Rights division. During her time there, she co-founded the Independent Alliance for Artist Rights (IAFAR). Originally from L.A., Asher started her U.K. music industry career in the musical theatre business.
