MEDIABASE'S GELB SIGNS OFF

After 50 years in radio, Mediabase Label Sales & Marketing Director Jeff Gelb is signing off, retiring on New Year’s Eve.

At Mediabase since 2002, Gelb got his professional start at WNCR and WMMS in Cleveland; wrote, produced and voiced radio programs for Westwood One and The Source; and also worked for R&R. "Capping my career at Mediabase is an honor,” Gelb said. “I work with a family of people who genuinely care about this industry and music. Our clients are also our friends. I'm indebted to them all. In particular I want to thank Alissa Pollack, Philippe Generali and Nancy Deitemeyer for their belief in me and support of my efforts on behalf of Mediabase. With them at the helm, I am certain that Mediabase will continue to excel at bringing the music industry the most up-to-date and vital information about the music we all love."

Pollack, iHeart Media’s EVP, Global Music Marketing, said, “Jeff has been an integral part of the Mediabase family for the last 19 years. During our time working together, he epitomized dedication and loyalty. His hard work, integrity, commitment and passion for both his clients and Mediabase are greatly appreciated, and his contributions to our business will never be forgotten.”

Gelb can be reached at [email protected], unless you’re Todd Hensley, in which case he still won’t take your calls.
