Interscope, which will be crowned marketshare champ of 2020, has tied Republic for #1 in total-activity marketshare for the week ending 11/19, just as Billie Eilish’s new “Therefore I Am” is in a virtual dead heat with Ariana Grande’s “positions” as the week’s second-most-streamed track.
24kGoldn’s “Mood,” which holds onto #1 in weekly streams, and Mariah Carey’s perennial “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which climbs to #9, join AC/DC’s chart-topping debut, Power Up, to spearhead Columbia’s climb to #3, with 12% of the weekly Top 100, up from 8% the previous week.
Chris Stapleton’s #3 debut, Starting Over, powers UMG Nashville’s six-percentage-point jump to 7%, putting it at #6 for the week.
Our Top 100 Weekly Marketshare Chart, which is determined by the number and placement of each label’s releases in that week’s Top 100, shows the relative performance of the major labels by percentage of the top tier of the overall business.
