Hailing from Chicago, producer Monte Booker is generating quite a buzz with his track “Kolors” f/Smino. With the help of TikTok, the track, which originally appears on his 2016 EP Soulection White Label, is gaining momentum as a part of the platform’s Black Music Month efforts.
“We saw that the community was really connecting with the song…. we wanted to help amplify the track and support the artists.” said Isabel Quinteros, TikTok, Music Partnerships & Artist Relations. “The trending hashtag #kolors appeared on the Discover page with a banner as part of our Black Music Month celebration. In addition, we promoted the song with a Sound Page banner campaign for music discovery during the video creation process on 6/17.”
TikTok influencers like Charli D'Amelio, Addison Rae, Loren Gray and more have created videos for the “Kolors” dance trend, contributing to the 5m+ video creations and 893m+ views within the platform. Now, the track is zooming up the Spotify charts as it enters the Top 20 Viral U.S. chart and sits at #24 on the Global Viral chart.
Monte Booker is managed by Henny Yegezu and Chris “Classick” Inumerable, and repped by Peter Lewit on the legal side. Check out “Kolors” f/Smino below.
