FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

The second album from Parkwood/Columbia’s Chloe X Halle tops the iTunes albums chart this flipover Friday as a new single from 6ix9ine & Nicki Minaj rules the roost at songs.

Besides being #1 at sales, Chloe X Halle’s Ungodly Hour is also the top newcomer at Apple Music, waking up at #11. 6ix9ine & Nicki Minaj’s “TROLLZ” (Create Music Group) is #16 at Apple Music.

Back at iTunes albums, the debut full-length from Gone West, Canyons (Triple Tigers) #2, one slot ahead of Norah Jones’ eight solo album, Pick Me Up off the Floor (Blue Note). Sax man Boney JamesSolid (Concord) is #4. Larkin Poe’s Self Made Man (Tricki-Woo) rounds out the Top 5.

Liam Gallagher’s MTV Unplugged (Warner), recorded last year at Hull City Hall, plugs in at #8.

Kodaline’s One Day at a Time (B-Unique/AWAL) starts at #9 with Jesus Culture’s Church Volume Two (Sparrow/Capitol CMG) at #10.

A few oldies have made their way into the Top 25: The film soundtrack to Grease; Rage Against the Machine’s debut album; and Prince’s Purple Rain.
