Epic Records has tapped creative exec/video producer Gina Harrell to broaden the scope and maximize the overall visual impact for the label’s artists.
As Senior Vice President, Video Production & Content Development, Harrell will serve as executive producer for all music videos of artists signed to the label and oversee the creative and financial production of visual assets, digital content and music videos. She will work with marketing and senior management to jointly drive the visual direction of the label’s artists.
“Gina is a true renaissance woman, a visionary force in music video production and someone I have had the pleasure of working with for many years,” said Epic Chairwoman & CEO Sylvia Rhone. “My trust in her judgment as a creative executive is unequivocal and it is an honor to welcome Gina to Epic, as we begin this next chapter together.”
As a Creative Executive and Line Producer, Harrell has worked with Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, Franz Ferdinand, Jennifer Lopez and numerous others.
Rhone and Harrell first worked together at Elektra Records before Harrell moved to Universal Motown Republic Group in 2006, as SVP, Video Production. Vice Media tapped Harrell for the launch of Live Nation TV in 2015.
Harrell was Executive Producer of the doc Soundtrack For A Revolution and produced the 3-D mapped film projection project As of A Now for Baltimore’s Light City Festival.
