A PRINCE CONCERT STREAM FOR CHARITY

A Prince and the Revolution performance from 1985’s Purple Rain tour will be streamed for four days beginning Thursday, courtesy of The Prince Estate.

Prince and the Revolution: Live, shot 3/30/85 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y., was the first live concert footage that Prince officially released as both a television broadcast and home video. The 20-song set includes a 19-minute version of "Purple Rain."

Prior to its premiere at 5pm PT/8pm ET on Thursday, Revolution drummer Bobby Z. will do a Q&A moderated by Andrea Swensson of Minnesota Public Radio.

The streaming event, which ends at 11:59pm on Sunday, will be raising funds for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. Google will match $2 for every $1 donated up to $5m.

The concert will be streamed here.
