The Dixie Chicks’ first album in 14 years has been pulled from the 5/1 release schedule and postponed indefinitely.
Columbia’s release of Gaslighter has no new date, though on iTunes it’s now listed as 12/31. None of the members of the trio have said anything about the change in release date. Their social media accounts continue to promote the single “Gaslighter,” which came out in early March.
The Chicks join Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, Alicia Keys and others in delaying the release of their new albums until the all-clear has been sounded on the coronavirus pandemic. It was expected they would be announcing tour dates around the time of the album’s release.
