Fiona Apple’s first album in eight years, Fetch the Bolt Cutters (Epic), tops the iTunes albums chart this flipover Friday while South Coast/Interscope’s DaBaby is dominating Apple Music.
DaBaby’s Blame it on Baby is #1 at Apple Music albums and 11 of its tracks are in the Top 20 on Apple Music songs. “Can’t Stop,” “Rockstar” f/Roddy Ricch and Pick Up” f/Quavo are in the Top 5. The album is #2 at iTunes.
Trailing Apple’s critically praised album and the DaBaby title are Kierra Sheard’s Kierra (Provident/RCA Inspiraton) at #3, Incubus’ Trust Fall (Side B)–EP at #4 and The Black Dahlia’s Verminous (Metal Blade) at #5.
Westside Gunn and dvsn, the duo of Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, land in the Top 20 on both charts. Westside Gunn’s Pray for Paris (Griselda) is #6 at iTunes and #16 at Apple Music; dvsn’s A Muse in Her Feelings (OVO/Warner) is #7 in both sales and streams.
Tech N9ne’s Enterfear (Strange Music) comes in at #8 and The White Buffalo’s On the Widow’s Walk (Snakefarm/Universal) roams at #10.
Leading iTunes songs is Kelly Clarkson’s Thursday release. “I Dare You” (Atlantic), at #1 followed by Lady Antebellum’s Songland track “Champagne Night” (BMLG) at #2. It was released 4/13. Another Thursday release, Sam Smith & Demi Lovato’s “I’m Ready” (Capitol), is #4.
