BOWL SEASON IN JEOPARDY?

The Los Angeles Philharmonic has canceled the rest of its season at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the summer season at the Hollywood Bowl might not begin as planned.

“We’re hopeful that there will be all or some of our Hollywood Bowl season, but tours are being canceled and artists are canceling too,” LA Phil Chief Executive Chad Smith told the Los Angeles Times. “We’re re-modeling it every day.”

The official L.A. Phil presentations start 6/6-7 with the Playboy Jazz Festival and an opening gala 6/13 with Brandi Carlile, but the May/June calendar has another 10+ shows from outside promoters, among them Daryl Hall & John Oates on 5/29, Alanis Morissette on 6/9 and Bob Dylan on 6/18. The Beach Boys are booked for the annual three-day Fourth of July concerts.
