U.K. MIDWEEKS: DUA LIPA'S IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT

Dua Lipa is heading for #1 on the U.K’s Official Albums Chart with Future Nostalgia (Warner Records) outselling its closest competitor by almost 2:1. Over on singles, Drake has the highest new entry at #3.

Despite coming at #2 behind Five Seconds of Summer last week, Lipa is almost certain to claim the top slot ion Friday. The album comfortably leads on all formats at the halfway point, and is ahead of Lewis Capaldi’s debut at #2, as 5SOS fall to #13.

Following his death last week, Bill Withers is on course for his first ever U.K. Top 10 album with Live at Carnegie Hall (Sony) at #6, while retrospective, The Best Of, lands at #34.

Just outside the Top 10, Thundercat could earn his highest charting U.K. chart position to date with It Is What It Is (Brainfeeder) at #11. All Time Low’s Wake Up, Sunshine (Warner) is #12 at midweek.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Drake’s “Toosie Slide” (Island) sits behind The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (Island) at #1, and “Roses” by SAINt JHN (HITCO/Ministry of Sound) at #2.

A viral charity track by British comedian Matt Lucas (of Little Britain fame), “Thank You Baked Potato” (Loudmouth Music), is the second highest new entry today at #5. Money raised from the single goes to Feed NHS, which aims to get hot meals to NHS staff and critical care workers across the country during the coronavirus crisis.

Finally, Powfu f/Beabadoobee’s  “Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head)” (Columbia)—the latest viral hit on TikTok—is currently up three places to #11.
