U.K. CHARTS: NIALL NAILS #1

Niall Horan has emerged victorious in this week’s chart battle in Blighty as Heartbreak Weather (Virgin EMI) claims the Official Albums #1. Over on singles, Saint Jhn is reigning champ.

Heartbreak Weather, Horan's second solo album, betters the #3 peak its predecessor reached in 2017.

It was a close call this week on albums, with just 2.3k combined sales separating the Top 3. Lewis Capaldi ended up being Horan’s closest competitor, with Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI) ending the week at #2. The Shires, whose Good Years (BMG) held the midweek #1, are new at #3.

Circa Waves claim their first Top 5 with Sad Happy (Prolifica) at #4, followed by Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake (Atlantic) at #5.

UMC’s Matt Monro collection Stranger in Paradise—The Lost New York Sessions charts at #8. Scottish indie four-piece The Snuts make their Official Chart debut at #14 as Mixtape (Parlophone) is this week’s best-selling album on vinyl.

The debut album from Texas rapper Don Toliver, Heaven or Hell (Atlantic), opens at #17, and the self-titled debut from Manchester’s The Lottery Winners (Modern Sky) is new at #23.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, after a steady 11-week climb to the top, Saint Jhn’s “Roses” (Hitco/Ministry of Sound) reaches the summit. It was a close call — The Weeknd ‘s “Blinding Lights” (Island) sits just 210 combined sales behind at #2.

Joel Corry has a new personal best with “Lonely” (Asylum) climbing two places to #5, while Becky Hill f/Shift K3y’s “Better Off Without You” (Polydor) is also up two to #14.

Mabel lands a seventh Top 20 single with “Boyfriend” (Polydor) rising eight spots to #17, and “Blueberry Faygo” (Interscope) by Lil Mosey enters the Top 20 at #19, flying up 22 places.
