CHIEF'S CORE EXERCISE

Talent manager Kevin “Chief” Zaruk and investor Simon Tikhman have formed The Core Entertainment management company with Live Nation as its strategic partner.

Zaruk, a founding partner of Nashville-based Big Loud, and Tihkman will identify and support talent managers through the company, providing resources and infrastructure to help with growth. The Core will also form joint ventures with athletes, invest in technology and develop TV and film projects.

“There are so many artists and entrepreneurs with the talent and determination to disrupt their industries,” Zaruk said. “The Core offers our clientele the resources, exposure and capitol needed to scale and evolve.”

Tikhman’s varied background includes creating mobile entertainment apps for Kevin Durant and Zayn Malik, founding the spirits company Simont Enterprises, and managing partner at the Fund by First Access Entertainment. Simon also operates an investment vehicle called RPST Ventures in partnership with sports agent, Rich Paul.

Live Nation President and CEO Michael Rapino said, “We are always looking to partner with entrepreneurs who have vision. Chief and Simon have it in spades and we are excited to work with them to innovate in this quickly changing business.”
