Warner Records artist Wale's #1 single “On Chill (feat. Jeremih)” is now RIAA certified platinum, and his new single “Love…(Her Fault)(feat. Bryson Tiller)" is climbing the charts, currently approaching Top 15 at urban radio, with over 10m in radio audience and 87m across all formats.
Pictured (l to r) at Wale’s sold-out show 1/29 at The Fonda in Hollywood are Warner Records VP Creative Services Akila Robinson, Young Chris of Young Gunz, Sr. Director Marketing Shawnae Corbett, SVP A&R Norva Denton, Wale, Brnd Mgmt's Wes Lawrence, Head of Urban Marketing Chris Atlas, Co-Chairman and COO Tom Corson, EVP Promotion Mike Chester and Brnd Mgmt's Jack Minihan.
Others in attendance included artists Eric Bellinger and 6LACK, Melissa Ford, and rising rapper Boogie. That evening, Wale also gave a moving tribute to Kobe Bryant.
Word is that the Washington, D.C-area rapper will make special appearances on ESPN and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah in February for Black History Month. As Wale would say, Wow…That’s (going to be) Crazy.
