If you've scrolled through this week's edition of Spotify's New Music Friday, you may have spotted an unfamiliar name in the Top 20. So, who is KILLBOY? And what is she up to?
The featured track, "WHEREDAFUCC," which she wrote, produced and recorded/mixed all on her own, is the first song she's released as an artist. The corresponding video was also shot, directed and edited by KILLBOY, who's repped by Nima Nasseri.
The Texarkana, Texas native, who was recently signed as a writer/producer to Tiffany Kumar’s BEAT HOUSE (a JV with Pulse), has only been in L.A. for six months. In a scene that rarely sees female pop producers, she's turning heads. And we're hearing this breakout momentum has incited a slew of calls from the labels.
As for what's on deck at the moment, there's a song she wrote for a new J Lo movie, and she's working on HBO's next Insecure soundtrack. Seemingly out of thin air, she's already started to appear in rooms with hitmakers like Ben Billions and Supa Dups. And word has it her superb work ethic is really raising some brows.
