"LOVER" GETS THE MENDES TOUCH (UPDATE: MEOW)

A remix of Taylor Swift’s “Lover” featuring Shawn Mendes has shot straight to #1 at iTunes Songs in just a few hours of release.

On Twitter, Mendes thanked Swift for “letting me join you on such a beautiful song.” Is Shawn blossoming as the new go-to hitmaking duet partner? While we're asking questions, is this the last we've heard from Taylor this year?

Then on Thursday, Swift teased the forthcoming release at midnight of yet another new song, this one is "Beautiful Ghosts" from the movie CATS. Swifties everywhere promptly lost their minds.
