U.K. MIDWEEKS: IN WITH THE NEW

Selena Gomez is vying for #1 with “Lose You to Love Me” (Polydor) on the U.K.’s Official Singles midweek chart while Stereophonics leads an all-new Top 5 at albums with Kind (Parlophone) ahead by 14k combined chart sales. Gomez is likely to land two tracks in the Top 20.

Should Kind stay on track for #1 by Friday, the album will become Stereophonics’ seventh chart-topper.

Rick Astley’s greatest hits collection, The Best of Me (BMG), is #2 while James Blunt is heading toward his highest charting album in six years with Once Upon a Mind (Atlantic) at #3.

Kanye West’s Jesus is King (Virgin EMI) starts at #4, ahead of the major label debut from Rex Orange County, Pony (Sony), at #5

Bruce Springsteen’s Western Stars: Songs From The Film (Columbia) is #9, and Editors’ retrospective Black Gold (PIAS) is in line to become their seventh consecutive Top 10 album at #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Gomez has two entries in the Top 20 with “Lose You to Love Me” rising to #2 from #65 and “Look at Her Now” starting at #18.

At the halfway point, Tones and I’s “Dance Monkey” (Parlophone) is still #1. Lizzo is on track for her first U.K. Top 10 single with "Good As Hell" (Atlantic) up 14 places to #4 following the release of a new remix featuring Ariana Grande.

After announcing their upcoming eighth album, Coldplay could collect their 24th Top 40 track with “Orphans” (Parlophone) at #14.
