BIG HIT & SOURCE MUSIC SEARCH FOR THE NEXT BIG GIRL GROUP

Big Hit Entertainment and its newly acquired label Source Music will join forces to launch a new girl group, set to debut in 2021. Led by Big Hit CEO Bang Si-Hyuk and CBO Min Hee-Jin, group members will be selected through the large scale, Plus Global Audition.

The two companies plan to fully utilize their capacities in launching the next-gen, K-pop girl group. Si-Hyuk will oversee production including music producing, while Hee-Jin will lead the creative direction and branding that encompasses concept, video and image. It will be the first girl group since Hee-Jin has joined Big Hit.

The global audition will be held in 16 cities:
Los Angeles, New York City: October 5
Perth, Singapore: October 12
Melbourne: October 13
Busan, Gwangju, Osaka, Sapporo, Taipei: October 19
Seoul, Tokyo, Kaohsiung: October 20
Hanoi, Bangkok: October 26
Ho Chi Minh: October 27
