ABOUT LAST NITE...

Arista Records announced 9/3 the launch of a new electronic label last nite. Led by newly appointed General Manager, Matt D’Arduini, the new label will focus on electronic music, and will foster developing talent who are breaking ground in the genre. D’Arduini will also serve as Senior Vice President, A&R at Arista Records. Sony Music International artists who will move to the new label’s roster in the US include, UK-producer Sigala, Australian-producer Dom Dolla, duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Lithuanian producer Dynoro.

In making the announcement, Arista President & CEO David Massey enthused, “I am very excited that Arista is expanding with a new label whose roster represents a diverse and unique array of artists within the electronic space. Similar to our distinctive approach at Arista, last nite is laser-focused on artist relations and development. We are very excited to have Matt in both of these key positions in the Arista family.”

D’Arduini said, “I’m thankful to David Massey for bringing me on to join the Arista family, and for the opportunity to establish an innovative new electronic label.” D'Arduini's past stints include A&R gigs at Robbins Entertainment, Island Records and 4th & B’Way Records, where he worked on bangers from dance/electronic artists and producers Afrojack, D.H.T., Cascada, Sam Feldt, NOTD and Seeb.
