Doug Davis
Founder
Davis is an entertainment attorney, entrepreneur, Grammy-winning record producer and event producer. Along with founding The Davis Firm, he serves as the executive producer of the annual Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala.
Davis and his team prioritize every client’s matters, no matter what stage in their careers they are in. The size of the firm allows their client relationships to become familial, while striving to find innovative means to continue to create opportunities. In 2018, The Davis Firm opened its Los Angeles office, led by partner Jodie Shihadeh.
Passionately committed to giving back, Davis chairs Songs of Hope, City of Hope’s annual celebration of songwriters. Davis co-produced 2018’s American Dreamers: Voices of Hope and Songs of Freedom album, which featured the performances of 53 DACA recipients, which won three Grammy Awards in 2019, permanently changing the lives of all the Dreamers who participated. Davis also sits on boards for the Music for Youth Foundation, the Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music at NYU and F*ck Cancer, which focuses on prevention and early detection of cancer.
Jodie Shihadeh
Partner
With over seven years of service, Shihadeh is known as Wonder Woman of The Davis Firm. Recently upped to Partner, Shihadeh earned her stripes as the firm’s Managing Attorney, ascending from her start as an associate in 2011. She pours her heart and soul into her work, going above and beyond to help clients in any way from music-biz related situations to personal matters. Referred to by Doug Davis as the firm’s “homegrown talent,” Shihadeh draws on her experience at the boutique entertainment firm, along with her passion for the biz, to provide impeccable leadership and direction for The Davis Firm and its roster.
Francine Lewis
Associate Attorney
Lewis started at The Davis Firm five years ago as an undergrad intern and has refused to leave. She was quickly hired by the firm as an Associate in May, upon graduation from Brooklyn Law School in 2018. Although she was recently sworn in as an attorney, those years spent interning at the firm provided Lewis with plenty of experience. She has already worked on various high-profile deals, including spearheading Dionne Warwick’s Las Vegas Residency at Bally’s.
The Davis Firm’s newest associate attorney did not redirect his first paycheck to the HITS offices in time to make the publication date, so he will have to be featured in a future issue.
